Unfortunately the room we got was unsafe and unclean, the bathroom light was rusted and did not work and the toilet did not flush properly. We were supposed to stay two nights but left after the first night. Pretty disappointed really :(

House is roomy, bathrooms are spacious and lovely. Games room downstairs was a bonus for my grandchildren. The position of the property was good with nice sea view, and Snells is a good place to take trips from. The only downside was the house was very hot in the afternoons/evening from sun, but fans were provided in all bedrooms. That helped , A very nice place to spend a holiday.

The beach is lovely however the surrounding area is very limited for places to eat out so next time we will take our own groceries. This is small town New Zealand, nothing flash, but being only 1 hour from Auckland makes it a real winner.

The salty dog Inn Like I have mentioned in review could be an absolute great place probably was once Re: restaurant shut no sky as advertised we were moved to another room we didn't book Apart from that Snells Beach itself is beautiful and surrounding areas . Lovely cafés make sure you get your supermarket food if needed before staying as no 4 square or supermarket there go to Warkworth for that Matakana is a must too and any of the white sand dunes beaches quite nearby . It's a great base for exploring Mahurangi peninsula and Kawau Island. Several regional parks nearby - Scotts Landing is an amazing swimming spot, Scandrett is beautiful for walks. Kawau is wonderful overall.

The accommodation was very clean ,and plenty of room for 3adults and the staff was very friendly ,it was walking distances to beach ,shops and not to far by car to Matakana . We would defiantly stay here again .

Lovely comfortable bed. Nespresso machine in the unit. Very friendly host. Full sky channels. Lounge suite high backed - good for tall people. Fantastic views of Snells Beach from the patio. Great food provided for breakfast.

Great motel, easy to find, good location with shops across the road, room was well equipped with a kitchenette, the spa bath was a hit, my 10 year old and 2 year old loved the swimming pool.
